Exploring local locations for photos for our new book on the built-environment in the High Peaks region of Maine, we finally found this extraordinary mill ruin. It is in far northern Franklin County, and we wouldn’t have discovered it without the help of a most accommodating border crossing officer at the Coburn Gore station.
