When we visited the Cobbscook Bay Region about this time last year, we stopped to ask directions from a woman, who was tending her garden. She headed us in the right direction, and as we were leaving, she handed me a cup full of nasturtium seeds she had harvested. We planted them in the hanging baskets on our Schoolhouse porch this spring. Putting it mildly, they have flourished beyond all expectations! #kingfieldmaine #robustnasturtiums #orcuttphotography #summerinmaine #hangingbaskets John Orcutt October 21, 2021 Instagram Continue Reading
What a privilege it is to live in the former Primary Schoolhouse in Kingfield, Maine. Built in 1874-75, this well-built structure provided the space for the education of generations of local children. We often think of the builders, who created this treasure without the benefit of all the power tools we use today. John Orcutt October 21, 2021 Instagram Continue Reading
Our recent Seattle trip included a visit to The Museum of Pop Culture, an uninhibited creation by architect, Frank Gehry. A design feature is the monorail integrated into the sculptural forms of the building facades, as they wrap the exterior. #seattle, #frankgehry #museumofpopculture #disneycostumeexhibit John Orcutt October 21, 2021 Instagram Continue Reading
