We parked the van for an overnight stay on McCoy Flats road just outside Vernal, Utah last evening. Beautiful quiet, totally private spot in the red rocks. It is in far northern Franklin County, and we wouldn’t have discovered it without the help of a most accommodating border crossing officer at the Coburn Gore station. Apparently it was a mill of some sort. The moon was an added bit of serendipity.
